Features, articles, tools and message boards/forums featured on The Grocery Game may be used in conjunction with many different computer systems. For the best results, use:
Supported Browsers
- PC: Internet Explorer 6.0 and above * Firefox 2.0 * Google Chrome 2.0
- Mac: Safari 3.0 * Firefox 2.0
Basic Settings
- Connection Speed: 56k or higher
- Screen Resolution: Minimum supported screen resolution is 800 x 600 (recommended, 1024 x 768 or higher)
- Flash: Some components of our pages also require the Flash 8 plug-in. If your system isn't Flash enabled, you may experience problems visiting some pages or using certain tools.
For the optimal experience we recommend that you use a supported browser with the recommended settings.
Cookies & Privacy Settings
If you are experiencing technical problems, check your browser and cookie settings. We recommend that you set your browser to accept cookies and enable Java. To enable cookies, set your browser's security settings to Medium.
To accept cookies:
- Netscape 7/8 users: Go to Edit > Preferences > Privacy & Security > Cookies > Enable All Cookies
- Internet Explorer 6 users: Go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Accept All Cookies. Then close your browser. You can stay online ?- just close and reopen your browser.
- AOL 9.0 users: On the AOL toolbar, click Settings > Internet Settings (AOL 7/8 users: Select Preferences, then Internet Settings) > Privacy > Advanced > Override Default Settings
- To specify that you want Internet Explorer to allow cookies to be saved on your computer, click Accept.
- To specify that you want Internet Explorer to ask whether or not you want to allow a cookie to be saved on your computer, click Prompt.
- If you want Internet Explorer to always allow session cookies (cookies that will be deleted from your computer when you close Internet Explorer) to be saved on your computer, click "Always allow session cookies."

Pages won't load or load slowly
When pages load slowly or not at all, you may need to clear out your Temporary Internet Files or restart your browser. It is usually a good idea to empty your Temporary Internet Files and cookies before attempting to log in again if you are having problems accessing pages on the site.
(Note: Clearing cookies will delete all cookies files on your computer. If you have saved passwords at different sites, it will not erase your account, but it will delete the cookie on your computer that holds your user name and password to those sites. When you visit the sites again, you will need to reenter your user name and password into their log-in form.)
To delete cookies:
- Internet Explorer users: Go to Tools > Internet Options > General Tab > Delete Cookies
- Netscape users: Go to Tools > Cookie Manager > Stored Cookies Tab > Remove All Cookies
- Firefox users: Go to Tools > Options > Cookies > Clear
You may need to close and reopen your browser for these changes to take effect. Sometimes it may be necessary to restart your computer.
If you are a Windows user, you may wish to install the most recent updates and patches on your system. These updates can affect how your browser sends and receives information. Text size display
If the text appears too small or too large, check your browser's text size settings by going to View, then Text Size in your browser's menu. You can then adjust your settings to make the text bigger or smaller. For optimal results, we recommend selecting the Medium text size option.
Pop-up blockers
If you are experiencing problems opening a tool or feature on our site, it may be due to a pop-up blocker you have on your computer. You can try disabling or adjusting these programs temporarily to see if that corrects the issue. Many times you can override a pop-up blocker by pressing the CTRL key while clicking the link or button of the page you wish to open.
If you are using Windows XP, go to your Tools menu at the top of your browser window and select Pop-up Blocker. Here you can adjust the pop-up blocker settings or you can opt to always display pop-up windows from certain domains. To adjust pop-up settings on other browsers and pop-up blocking software, please check the Help files for those programs or visit the software provider's Website for more details.
Spyware and adware
Spyware and adware are increasingly common. These programs can cause your computer to run more slowly and can interfere with normal applications. You might not realize that you have spyware installed on your machine because some spyware programs are bundled in other applications, such as freeware downloads.
